From Berlin with love... This month join us for a special Berlin edition of WORD!Online, hosted by Ana Paz and featuring the Berlin based Demi Anter and Arielle Cottingham. Also featuring a 'lucky dip' open mic, and fire beats throughout from Leicester based DJ, Hiro.
Demi Anter was born to Austrian and German parents and grew up in the California desert. Her writing has appeared in numerous journals including Magma, Banshee and Ninth Letter. She has been a featured poet at Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Poetry Ireland and Loud Poets’ “Best of Fringe” at the Scottish Storytelling Centre. She lives in Berlin. Texas-born Afro-Latinx performance artist, dancer, and Pushcart-nominated poet Arielle Cottingham was an internationally touring whirlwind before Covid-19. Their work has been published in Stellium, BOOTH, Pressure Gauge Press, and elsewhere, and their chapbook Black and Ropy was published by Pitt Street Poetry. POWERHOUSE. They are currently pining for falafel at their desk in Berlin.
