Word Round

  • Over the last two years, stand-up poet Rob Gee went into a variety of inpatient psychiatric settings around Nottingham, Northampton, Kettering and Leicester to compose poems with groups of patients. He would act as scribe, while people in the room contributed ideas, jokes, lines and rhymes. This book is a selection of those poems.

Featuring poems from inpatients in acute, elderly, forensic, intensive care, child/adolescent, eating disorders, learning disability, and rehabilitation/supported care settings.

The art work featured in this collection was created by BrightSparks Arts in Mental Health workshop participants at the Bradgate Unit.
