  • Join us with Demi Anter - an internationally acclaimed poet and actor originally from California, now based between London and Berlin.

    Demi Anter has toured extensively as a spoken word artist, including appearances at Glastonbury Festival, the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Poetry Ireland, and Bristol Old Vic. Her written work has been published by Magma, Banshee, and Ninth Letter, among others.

    She recently published her debut poetry collection Small Machine (Write Bloody UK). The collection was called “Tender, visceral, beautifully vulnerable,” by Musa Okwonga, and "Strikingly luminous and soothing,” by Chanel Miller.     Demi will be supported by Alex Tyler - a Peterborough-based poet who is far too obsessed with the 80's and all things geeky and obscure. When he isn't writing nerdy poems, he manages the Good Shout Slam in Peterborough, and performs whenever possible!  

    He is a former slam champion at the Say Owt Slam in York, and recently won the Hammer & Tongue Slam in Cambridge, as well as the Some-antics Slam. He a regular performer at Bearded Theory Festival and has ambitions to return to the Edinburgh Fringe.
