  • WORD! in the Garden

    WORD! in the Garden

    • WORD! in the Garden is WORD!’s annual festival of poetry, ecology and the environment, originally funded and inspired by Kew Gardens' Grow Wild, with additional support from University of Leicester's U. Matter initiative.
  • Beeston WORD!

    Beeston WORD!

    • Beeston WORD! is WORD!'s regular Nottinghamshire based night. Hosted and curated by Lydia Towsey, it was launched in 2018 and takes place at Beeston Library on a quarterly basis in partnership with Inspire Libraries.
  • Look-A-Lady-Ukulele


    • Our ongoing Look-a-Lady-Ukulele (LALU) work is a collaboration between WORD! and our partners at Brightsparks, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and Peepul Centre.


    • WORD!Slam is WORD!s annual poetry slam competition. Launched in 2018 following the success of WORD!'s inaugural 'East Midlands Poetry Slam', WORD!Slam takes place in November at Leicester's Y Theatre.
